Pencil+ 4 File Output
Pencil+ 4 File Output is used to save Pencil+ 4 Lines to EPS and PLD format. Pencil+ 4 Lines need to be used to use Pencil+ 4 File Output.
Pencil+ 4 File Output¶
This section contains the settings related to the file output format and output destination.
Output Parameter¶
The output file format is set here.
File Type¶
Select the type of the output file.
Adobe Illustrator 8 EPS (*.eps)¶
Save to an EPS file format that can be read by Adobe Illustrator version 8 and up. Some other applications can also read this format. Supports layers.
Encapsulated Post Script (*.eps)¶
Save to an EPS file format that does not depend on a specific application. It should be supported by more applications than the "Adobe Illustrator 8 EPS (*.eps)" format, but layers are not supported.
Pencil+ Line Data (*.pld)¶
Save to the PLD file format. PLD is a file format specific to Pencil+ used by Pencil+ 4 Line for After Effects. By using PLD files, it is possible to edit the color and thickness of Lines in After Effects. You can display thumbnails for PLD files in Windows Explorer by installing the Pencil+4 Thumbnail Extension.
If a scene contains multiple Pencil+ 4 Lines, a separate PLD file will be saved for each Pencil+ 4 Line. The default output file name is constructed from the input file name and effect name. If the keyword <Scene> is included in the output file name, it will be replaced by the scene's file name. Similarly, the keyword <LineName> will be replaced by the name of the Line being saved. If multiple Pencil+ 4 Lines have the same name, a sequence number will be added at the end of the name of the Line being saved.
PLD output does not support Brush Maps. Please use Brush Map functionality in Pencil+ 4 Line for After Effects instead.
Destination¶
The name and path for the output file are set here.
Files...¶
Opens a dialog box to save the vector graphics file to disk.
Clear¶
Clears the file name and path.
Pencil+ 4 Line Output Settings¶
This section contains the settings related to outputting Pencil+ 4 Lines.
Output Effects List¶
This list is used to set the Pencil+ 4 Line effects to be output to file. The effects with a check mark will be output.
With the EPS format, the Pencil+ 4 Lines in the scene are output together in a single EPS file. This list can be used to output specific Pencil+ 4 Lines to separate files.
With the PLD format, each Pencil+ 4 Line is output to its own file, but the names of the effects are automatically appended to the file names. By using this list to output only one effect, the output file can be saved with only the specified name.
Output Categories¶
Pencil+ 4 Line's Visible and Hidden Lines output settings are set here.
Visible Lines¶
Check this to output Visible Lines to the file.
Hidden Lines¶
Check this to output Hidden Lines to the file.
Output Edges¶
Checked edges will be output to the file.
Output Line Set IDs¶
Checked Line Set IDs will be output to the file.
Line Set IDs are set in [Pencil+ 4 Line].
Parameters Supported by EPS File Output¶
The list below is an overview of the Pencil+ 4 Line parameters supported by EPS file output.
Parameters not in the list will not be reflected in the EPS file. Also, the ordering of the lines (which lines are in front of the others) can be different from the ordering in the render view.
