Advance Preparation
In order to use Line drawing functionality in Blender, the "PSOFT Pencil+ 4 Render App" must be separately installed. Please download and install the "PSOFT Pencil+ 4 Render App" from the PSOFT User Page.
Warning
Lines cannot be drawn if the "PSOFT Pencil+ 4 Render App" is not installed.
PSOFT Pencil+ 4 Render App¶
The "PSOFT Pencil+ 4 Render App" is a standalone application which receives data necessary for Line drawing from an external application and passes back Line drawing results. When the application is started, it starts waiting to receive external data. When external data is received, it performs Line drawing and returns the Line image to the external application.
The PSOFT Pencil+ 4 Line for Blender add-on works by coordinating with the Render App. The application is started automatically depending on the use of Blender.
It is not possible to start multiple instances of the Render App. A single instance can provide drawing capability to multiple Blender instances.
