Basic Shape of Focus Lines and Part Names

The basic shape of focus lines is defined by "Hole Size", "Density of Lines", and "Length" (of lines).

  • The empty circular space centered on the vanishing point is called the "hole" in this plugin. The aspect ratio of the hole can be controlled with the "Hole Aspect" parameter, and the hole can be rotated with the "Hole Angle" parameter.
  • "Density of Lines" controls the density of the focus lines by increasing or decreasing the number of lines. The appearance of density can also be adjusted with the thickness of the lines.
  • "Length" determines the base length of the lines.

Offset Random

Offset Random is a parameter that randomizes the starting position of the lines. The starting position of the lines is determined by Hole Size and Offset Random, so it is treated as a basic parameter of the focus lines.

The position of the lines can be changed by the parameters [Offset] and [Auto Offset], but the amount of offset due to Offset Random is maintained.

Functional Overview

Basic Randomization

Including Offset Random, randomization functionality required for the appearance of focus lines, such as line length and thickness, or line angular spacing, is available.

Periodic re-randomization and the number of randomization patterns for these random states can be set.

Color Randomization

Every line's color can be randomized based on the basic color.

Line Grouping

Groups can be created for the lines forming the focus lines.

Basic grouping is controlled by the number of lines assembled in one group (Group Lines) and how strongly they are pulled together (Attraction). By using various randomization parameters, the attraction within each group, the distance between groups, etc., can be randomized.

Wave

Lines can be deformed into waves, and when offset, the lines can be animated to follow the wave pattern.

The amplitude of the waves, their period, etc., can also be randomized.

Twist

The shape of the lines and the shape of the path they follow can be twisted freely by a spline deformation using 4 control points including the end points.

Offset Animation and Repetition

It is possible to animate offsets using the vanishing point as the origin.

Also, radiating line groups can be repeated.

Pseudo-lens Effect

This function allows you to increase or decrease the length, amount of movement, and thickness of the lines as they move away from the vanishing point.

With this, you can create effects similar to lens distortion.

Line Shape

The shape of line tapering can be adjusted.
