This effect extracts the specified colors.
It can be used to adjust colors with Color Shift, quickly create resources for Track Mattes, and the necessary colors can be set up quickly with presets.
Parameters Reference¶
View¶
Select how the effect is displayed.
Normal¶
Show the source image and the effect simultaneously.
Extract¶
Show only the areas where the effect is applied.
Key Colors 1 - 2¶
Individually show the areas where the Key Colors 1 - 2 are applied.
Invert¶
Invert the areas where the colors are extracted and where they are not.
Key Colors 1 - 2¶
Select the colors to extract.
Preset¶
Use presets to save and load values for SetColor, Color 1 - 16, and Color Range. The saved values can also be shared and used as presets for the ReplaceColor effect.
The Preset settings files are saved in the following directory:
Windows 10 and up
C:\Users\Public\Documents\PSOFT\CelFX\P_ColorSet.col
Preset Pull-down Menu¶
Show an overview of the saved presets. If a preset was selected and its parameters were changed, a * will be displayed before the preset name.

Add Button¶
Add and save a preset.
Press the button to display a dialog. Enter the preset name and press OK. The parameters are saved to the presets list.
If you specify an existing preset name, it will be overwritten.
Delete Button¶
Delete a preset.
Select the preset you want to delete from the list and press the Delete button.
The selected preset will be deleted from the presets list.
SetColor¶
The number of colors in Key Colors can be switched between 4, 8, 12, and 16 colors.
Enable Key Colors 1 - 2¶
Check the box to enable the settings in Key Colors.
Enable 1 - 16¶
Check the box to enable the associated color selection.
Color 1 - 16¶
Set the colors to be used as the basis for processing.
Color Range 1 - 16¶
Set an extended range for the specified color.
Color Shift¶
Apply a color shift to the areas matching the selected colors.
H¶
Shift the hue.
S¶
Shift the saturation.
V¶
Shift the value.
Matte¶
Create a matte resource from the selected colors.
Enable¶
Check the box to enable the Matte function.
Blend Mode¶
Set the blending mode for the colors.
Color 1 - 16¶
These colors will be used as the basis for processing.
Color Range 1 - 16¶
The extended ranges will be applied to the specified colors.
Selected Color¶
Set the color applied to the areas matching Key Colors 1 - 2.
Rejected Color¶
Set the color applied to the areas not matching Key Colors 1 - 2.
Selected Opacity¶
Set the opacity of the Selected Color.
Rejected Opacity¶
Set the opacity of the Rejected Color.
Fix Alpha¶
If the image has an alpha channel, the alpha areas will be filled with the color set in Rejected Color.
