Exporting PLD Files From 3D Software
We explain how to export PLD files from 3D software for use in Pencil+ 4 Line in the following videos.
Exporting PLD files from 3ds Max¶
PLD files can be exported from 3ds Max using the following steps.
- Add [Pencil+ 4 File Output] from the [Environment and Effects] window.
- Click the file type and select [Pencil+ Line Data (*.pld)].
- Click [Files...] and set the save location for the files.
- Render the scene by pressing the [F9] key. The PLD files will be saved in the specified directory.
Exporting PLD files from Maya¶
PLD files can be exported from Maya using the following steps.
- Click [Open Line Window] from the Pencil+ 4 menu to display the [Pencil+ 4 Line] window.
- Open the [Render Elements] tab.
- Click [Add PLD] to add a PencilRenderElementsPld node.
- Render the scene to create the PLD files.
Exporting PLD files from Blender¶
PLD files can be exported from Blender using the following steps.
- Open the [Compositing] tab in Blender.
- Click [Pencil+ 4] / [ViewLayer] in the [Add] menu to add a "Pencil+ 4.Line Render.ViewLayer" node.
- Click the [Pencil+ 4 Line] tab on the right side of the compositor view to display the information for the "Pencil+ 4.Line Render.ViewLayer" node.
- Click [Add].
- Click the File Type and select [PLD].
- Click the Base Path folder icon to set the save location for the files.
- Render the scene. The PLD files will be saved in the specified directory.
